Geneva_ The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales demands in the United Nations Organization that the United States should compensate Cuba for the damages provoked by the blockade and to restore Guantánamo Naval Base to the sovereignty of that country, Radio Rebelde publishes.

The Bolivian dignitary expressed his rejection to the economic coercive and unilateral measures applied by the United States against Cuba for political reasons.

Morales remembered that it is not enough the reestablishment of relationships among the two countries and he reiterated that Washington should indemnify the Caribbean country for the damages caused by that economic, commercial and financial huge for more than half century.

In his speech before the segment of high level of the General Assembly, the head of State stood out Cuba’s leadership to facilitate the construction of the peace agreement in Colombia.

"The signature of that agreement fulfills the decision of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, CELAC, of making the region a Zone of Peace", the President added.

He also condemned the terrorism, the violence and the war, but he noticed that for eliminating the terrorism it is necessary to attack the causes of that scourge of humanity.

The Bolivian president denounced that the imperial interests are to create a process of political destabilization in the region as well as condemned the political interference in Venezuela and greeted the revolutionary fight of its people and of the president Nicolás Maduro.
