Havana_ One hour after the closing of most of the polling stations in Cuba, 78.57 percent of the registered citizens had exercised their right to vote, the National Electoral Commission (CEN) reported today, Prensa Latina publishes.

In the second stage of the elections, 24 thousand 470 polling stations were authorized in the 168 municipalities of Cuba and more than 38 thousand young people voted after their inclusion in the registry of the Caribbean nation when they turned 16 years old.
For this process, 605 candidates for deputies to the Parliament and 1,265 for delegates to the Provincial Assemblies of People's Power were proposed.
As planned, on March 25 the Provincial Assemblies of People's Power will be constituted, while, the Cuban Parliament will be formed on April 19.
