Sao Paulo: The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, is the most loyal person I have ever met, said former Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who asked that to transmit that revelation to Army General Raul Castro, first secretary of the Party Communist of Cuba, Cubadebate publishes.
At the opening of the VII Congress of the Workers Party, held in Sao Paulo, the former labor leader, who was released on November 8, spoke of his willingness to fight for Brazil and thanked once again the solidarity he received during the 580 days of political prison.
Among them, that of Cuba, which delivered yesterday in the conclave to the ex-president the signatures of two million 61 thousand 565 citizens who demanded his freedom when serving political prison in the southern city of Curitiba; and in addition, he was awarded the order Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, granted by the President of the Republic.
"I am more willing to fight than ever before," said Lula. I will direct this country, not only to infer their lives, but to defend the Brazilian people, who do not deserve to live what they are living, ”said the former unionist, adding that the PT is“ the opposite of (Jair) Bolsonaro ”.
He commented that he learned to meditate in prison because he did not want my grudge to enter my body. "Whoever has hate cannot do good”, he said.
He recalled that it was not the PT governments that sabotaged the country's economy to force a political trial. It was not we who forged a demand to get a candidate out of the race. And these are the people who tell us not to polarize the country.
"As if Brazil had not been polarized for centuries among the few who have everything and the many who have nothing," he reflected.
"We are radical in the defense of universities, national sovereignty, health." We are an opposition and a half. While he (Bolsonaro) sows hatred, we will show that love will make this country much better”, he added.
The former president also criticized the former judge Sergio Moro, now Minister of Justice, and the Lava Jato operation.
“How can they say that they fought against impunity if Moro released at least 130 of the 159 defendants he himself had condemned? They negotiated all kinds of benefits with confessed criminals, they sold until forgiveness of the penalty that the law does not provide, in exchange for any word against Lula”, he denounced.
For the former president, Brazil is not going through extreme social turmoil, as is the case in other Latin American countries, due to the legacy of the PT governments, and mentioned among them the Bolsa Familia, "the last resort of millions of disinherited people."
