92 years of his birth and Fidel remains a paradigm for millions of revolutionaries on the planet.
In Cuba, his political teaching also continues to guide the nation's course because the durability of his ideas becomes a daily presence and a compass in the face of new challenges and defiance.
The democratic and revolutionary spirit of Fidel is premise in the popular consultation on the Draft Constitution that renews the Magna Carta of the Republic of Cuba, in compliance with one of the precepts that left us to strengthen the socialist process, change everything that must be changed without renouncing to the Martian legacy or the principles that sustain our just work.
Fidel was convinced that only the power of the people and its active participation could guarantee the construction of a better homeland and that is why he put a voice in the Cubans to exercise a true and invincible government that is what will take place from August 13th to November 15th, the right of Cubans to give their opinion, take sides and decide, because that is where Fidel’s heritage lies.
Once again the unity around a project and the revolutionary consciousness of a faithful and grateful people will be shown from every work center, student and in each circumscription.
It will be a popular and democratic consultation, in which the teachings of Fidel will make us reach the final victorious, we will have the Constitution that the country needs to give continuity to the socialist, prosperous, democratic and sustainable process that we defend, and in this authentic battle they accompany us Fidel's ideas, his teachings, his political magisterium, his coherence of life and we are committed and willing to follow his example.
We will back every word with facts, Cuba is known in the whole world and entered into the history of humanity from Fidel’s hands, we will honor that privilege, making this constitutional process another victory for the Homeland, that is the best tribute to the Commander in Chief, the man who one day rose with Cuba and did it as Marti assured, for all time.
