Havana: The memory of Fidel Castro, the validity of his legacy, his international dimension, marked on Monday the day of tributes to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Prensa Latina publishes.

Special morning meetings, photographic exhibitions, conversations, presentations of books and public events, which were held throughout the Island, demonstrated the permanence in the popular ideology of the architect and main guide of the process of transformations that Cuba has been promoting for six decades.

These initiatives of remembrance and tribute were the culmination of a cultural political evening on the steps of the University of Havana, where the young lawyer Fidel consolidated his Martian and revolutionary formation, and displayed his leadership capacity.

Also, until the patrimonial cemetery of Santa Ifigenia, in eastern Santiago de Cuba, a representation of the town of that city came to place flowers in front of the granite rock that keeps its mortal remains.

At the headquarters of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party in Sancti Spíritus they held a conversation where the personality of Fidel emerged from the teachings of the Cuban National Hero José Martí (1853-1895).

They also revealed each of the most important moments when the historical leader patented his love for Cuba, his people and his solidarity with other countries.

At the same time, the inauguration of the collective exhibition Fidel in memory, of the Institutional Collection of the Photo Library of Cuba, with snapshots of the Commander in Chief at different moments of his active life at the head of the Cuban state

In the Professional School of Art (EPA) of the central province of Santa Clara, they presented the book Y en eso llegó Fidel, from the journalist of Prensa Latina, José Antonio Fulgueiras.

The text brings together more than 60 testimonial chronicles of the imprint of the Cuban leader in workers, students, artists, athletes, doctors and officials of that province.

Also local, squares, and Cuban embassies in all latitudes were meeting places of friends and foreign personalities who joined this tribute to the Commander in Chief of the Revolution.
