From her face emerged one, another, several tears, her face reddened once more. This is always the case when we talk about Fidel, the historical leader of the Revolution.

I'm talking about Barbara Fort Gonzalez, a worker at the Fire Prevention and Extinction Unit in Quivicán. She is one of the many Cubans who loves this man, who keeps him alive in hermemory.

Barbarita reminds me of some of the many phrases that Fidel left us, those that became guides to follow paths, to achieve results, to release obstacles and perceive the light, to value what you have because homeland is a treasure.

She grew up loving Fidel. She tells me how she used to participate in the rallies in the Revolution Square since she was a girl. The shoulders of his father Enrique Fort, the Combatant of the Rebel Army, served as support for her trying to see in the distance the revolutionary during those emotional speeches that moved crowds.

"Fidel occupies a sacred place in my life," confesses Barbarita. A few days ago I dreamed about him, he asked me. Didn’t you want to see me? A dream so real that I stood up startled, for me he will always be alive.

She still keeps newspaper clippings that speak of the leader, something she could save from her old computer where she treasured speeches, phrases, songs, reports ... so many things.
For this and other reasons that leaded to the revolutionary triumph, Barbara Fort still cries and feels him at the same time. How to forget the man who gave everything for happiness to be a protagonist forever!
