Mayabeque, Cuba: Reality exceeded the expectations. Preliminary calculations predict around 40 thousand participants in the parade for May Day in this province, but that figure rose to more than 52 thousand, great popular support in which participated members of all the unions that the young territory has.

The workers' party was attended by the Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Roberto Morales Ojeda, the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and its first secretary here, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, the President of the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power (APPP) Tamara Valido Benítez and other political, government and mass organizations leaders.

After listening to the notes of the National Anthem, the Presidency advanced towards the platform on 40th Street in San José de las Lajas, a municipality located some 32 kilometers from Havana, the Cuban capital.

The workers of the Public Health sector were the first bloc to march in recognition of their contribution to the health system of Cubans and other peoples of the world.

The more than three thousand members of this union rejected the threats against Venezuela and supported President Nicolás Maduro and the people of the Bolivarian nation.

Together with the workers, the unforgettable presence of Fidel Castro, Camilo Cienfuegos, Ernesto Che Guevara and Lázaro Peña, examples to be followed by the new and future generations of Cubans.
