Meanwhile, the president of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and secretary general of the Polisario Front, Brahim Gali, congratulated the Cuban people in a message sent to his counterpart Raul Castro.

From Costa Rica, the Vanguardia Popular party congratulated the Cuban people on the occasion of the date, while in Peru citizens united with Cuba celebrated the new anniversary with a meetingç that brought together representatives of houses of friendship, political and social leaders, artists and intellectuals , as well as Cuban diplomats and residents in that country.

Angola also celebrated this July 26 and recalled the friendship and history shared by both nations, while several Indian unions gathered at the Cuban embassy in New Delhi, where they issued a statement of solidarity signed, among others, by the Association Indian Bank Employees Congress, All India Congress of Trade Unions and the United Central of Trade Unions of All India.

Likewise, the Turkey-Cuba Friendship Association "Jose Marti" organized a commemorative activity on Wednesday in the Turkish city of Izmir, with the participation of young people, activists of the Turkish left and leaders of the Turkish Communist Party.
