New York_ Carlos Gutiérrez, president of the United States-Cuba Business Council, described as excellent the meeting the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, held with North American directors of the Chamber of Commerce and the travel industry.
According to Cubadebate, during the meeting both sides discussed potentialities for those entities that are dedicated to travel between Cuba and the United States, and referred to the need of eliminating bans that prevent Americans from visiting freely the neighboring nation.
Likewise, several participants ratified their opposition to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington against the largest of the Antilles more than 55 years ago and welcomed the opportunity to dialogue with the Cuban leader.
Díaz-Canel highlighted the importance of this meeting, which was held in the context of his participation in the UN General Assembly in New York, and stressed that the travel industry is a sector that favors dialogue and relations with Cuba.
