New York_ The Dominio Cuba channel informs that Díaz-Canel had words of thanks to the artists and recalled the recent Festival Artes de Cuba held at the Kennedy Center. He stressed the importance of promoting new actions and cultural meetings that bring both countries closer together. He invited the artists to bring the best of American creation to Cuba, to show their productions and help to strengthen the ties between the two peoples over political and ideological differences.

According to Cubadebate, the President explained the characteristics of the Cuban artistic educational system, which despite the deficiencies suffered by the blockade imposed by the United States, maintains quality, universal and free access and the quality that is expressed in the training and performance professional of Cuban graduates.

For his part, Robert De Niro, main character of films such as El Padrino II and Toro Salvaje, said that good neighbors do not build walls, that culture serves to build bridges, upon receiving the Cuban leader.

After the welcome, Diaz-Canel talks with renowned figures of the world of arts in the United States, with whom he addresses the importance of culture to build bridges between peoples.
