Mayabeque, Cuba : The municipality of Jaruco received a group of workers from Radio Mayabeque to visit centers of economic and social interest in the territory, as part of the activities for the 49th anniversary of the station.

The welcome was at the Museum of the locality, site with a significant patrimonial value after its restoration on May 18; it has six permanent rooms connected in the timeline, where the individual is a protagonist and participates in the relevant facts and events of the territory.

The Business Unit of Base (UEB) Genetic Caprino Majana, which has as a projection the creation of a mini-cheese industry, was among the places visited.

The Cooperative of Agricultural Production (CPA) Benito Juárez stands out for the contribution of cane in the current sugar harvest and the yield in the field.

For its part, the UEB Porcina Santa Clara has more than 300 pigs with all the care and biosecurity measures.

The Credits and Services Cooperative (CCS) Rómulo Padrón stands out for the livestock, vegetable and fruit production with direct sales to tourism and for the support to the prioritized centers of education and health.

The Rancho Equino Escaleras de Jaruco, one of the best in the country, stands out in the conservation and maintenance of the genetic potential, the reproduction and integral development of these animals; in addition it has 4 ships for the care of the 346 horses.

The stay was welcoming and the journalistic team fulfilled the objective of collecting materials for the different information spaces.
