Mayabeque, Cuba_ Young people, students and workers in the municipality of Madruga have expressed their support for the delegation of Cuban civil society that participates in the forums parallel to the Eighth Summit of the Americas in Peru.Â
In acts held in schools and work centers, the youth of the territory reaffirmed their commitment to preserve the achievements of the Revolution and the conviction that in Lima the reality of Cuban society will be exposed.
There they will share with others from the continent and talk about the rights of those who enjoy free education and health, as well as the freedom to walk the streets with total security.
The people of Madruga expressed solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and reject the neoliberal onslaught against the Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
The occasion was also propitious to evoke the example of the young people who defended the Socialist Revolution in the sands of Playa Girón and led the first defeat of Yankee imperialism in America. Motivations that unite Cuban youth and that on the island and in Peru raise the flags of equality and social justice in defense of sovereignty.
