Mayabeque, Cuba_ Jurists from the municipality of Melena del Sur held a consultation meeting on the draft Constitution of the Republic of Cuba.

Anay Herrera and José Armas, responsible for conducting the analysis, gave a preamble to the general issues addressed by the text, its main characteristics and modifications.

Abundant debate generated the mission of the prosecution to control the criminal investigation, until the moment established within the Law of Procedure, now with constitutional rank.

Another issue discussed was the term of office of the president, which should not be limited to two periods of five years, nor establish the age limit to exercise this function, but in correspondence with the physical and mental faculties and the ability to guide, was the proposal of Yelanis Roques Carulo.

On this same topic Teresita Gómez La Guardia, suggests a modification to article 122. She suggests that the minimum age to access the presidency be 30 years and not 35 as the text institutes.

Another aspect that generated exchange was effective citizenship. The attendees supported the idea of ​​admitting more than one.

Melena advances in the fulfillment of the schedule of exchanges on the constitutional reform, in a process that extends until November 15 next.
