Cuba: With the presence of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee; and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Councils of State and Ministers began the Second Extraordinary Session of the Ninth Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power, in which the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba will be proclaimed.

Endorsed with the positive vote of six million 816 thousand 169 voters, the Constitution has 229 articles, 11 titles, two special provisions, 13 transitory and two final.

The Cuban president expressed on this day through his twitter account that on April 10, 1869 "the Revolution entered the Republic according to Martí. Neither Cuba nor History will ever forget that the one who came to be first in the war began being the first to demand respect for the law."
