Havana, Cuba_ The commission number two valued as transcendental the central report submitted by the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Army General Raul Castro Ruz, Radio Rebelde reported.
The delegate to the seventh Congress of the Party for Havana province, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, recognized the opportunities and challenges, internal and external of the party to advance amid this complex process of updating the Cuban economic model.
"I think it was very fair the recognition made yesterday of what we have advanced so far. In one part of his speech, Raul Castro said "there has not been enough, and it really has not been enough, given the complexity of this process in which we are involved," he said.
"But the most important was the focus he put in all that we have left to do, deep and self-critical spirit, and there is a great honesty in what he talked about all the problems and difficulties to be resolved", she added.
According to the director general for US from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, in this effort the party has a responsibility with its members and the entire population.
"I support a hundred percent the decision that the documents to be discussed at this Congress will be submitted to a consultation and a broad consultation", she said.
"As more people get involved and participate in making a contribution to major decisions taken at this time, we will be committing many more people, something very important in the future of our country", the delegate Josefina Vidal Ferreiro said delegate.
