Havana, Cuba_ We are going to build more beautiful works where the tornado did damage, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez said in the Special Round Table, when evaluating the recovery of Havana after the devastating phenomenon.
After reiterating the condolences to families with life and materials loss, the president recalled that precise information had been given by the Institute of Meteorology and Civil Defense, but it could not be predicted that an event of that magnitude could be formed.
Díaz-Canel highlighted the immediate presence in the place of the authorities of the Cuban Communist Party and the Government, and how cooperation began with all the agencies of the central administration of the State.
Having defined immediately between all the strategy gave us the possibility of moving quickly to save lives, avoid new victims and assess damage to act, the president stressed at the Round Table program.

Recovery of health institutions advances
Of the 195 patients who were injured during the passage of the tornado in Havana, 18 are hospitalized, of which five are serious, the Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda, reported in the Round Table.
He reiterated that there were nineteen health institutions affected, whose recovery is estimated to end on February 20, as well as pointed out that the services were relocated so as not to affect the population and extended the hours of the clinics in those areas.
The Minister of Public Health acknowledged those who in the stormy night managed to ensure that children and pregnant women did not suffer any injury during the evacuation process in the Hijas de Galicia Hospital.
He highlighted the work of more than five thousand students of Medical Sciences in the communities affected by the tornado and assured that the epidemiological situation remains stable.
Services already in march
The Minister of Internal Trade, Betsy Díaz, said at the Round Table that the sale of construction materials has begun in the corresponding stores, although she demanded a greater speed to deliver those means to the people affected by the tornado.
The minister said that they are evaluating the flexibility of the terms of the volume of the tanks to resolve dissatisfactions and clarified that there are enough water tanks, but that they are moving from the center of the country to the capital.
Also Minister of Energy and Mines, Raúl García, reported that electrical service was restored in Diez de Octubre, Regla, Guanabacoa and San Miguel del Padrón, after working almost uninterrupted for twenty-four hours.
Garcia highlighted the help of the brigades that arrived from Ciego de Ávila, Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara and Matanzas, to which groups that came from Pinar del Río, Artemisa and Mayabeque later joined.
In close collaboration
The president of the Institute of Hydraulic Resources, Antonio Rodríguez, detailed in the Round Table the damage caused to the sector after the passage of the tornado by capital cities, and stressed that the same January 28, in coordination with the Ministry of Energy and Mines, all the water pumping stations had electrical power.
Collaboration between all agencies was very important, he said, and pointed out that the damaged hydraulic infrastructure was recovered.
The head of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo, stressed that almost a thousand workers in the sector immediately put themselves in function of the recovery of Havana, and today the balance is equivalent to almost all the restored services.
He pointed out that the tornado affected twenty-seven radio-bases, and all are fully operational, and over fixed telephony said it has recovered more than 97 percent.
All engaged in recovery
The food industry has restored the productive processes and is still working on the recovery of other services, fulfilling the indication that they should be in better conditions, highlighted the Minister of the sector, Iris Quiñones at the Round Table about the recovery process of Havana after the devastating tornado.
She said that as part of the assurance measures, basic foods from other provinces were moved to the capital, noting that the first workers who arrived at the sanitation industries were the workers themselves.
The Minister of Construction, René Mesa, informed at the Round Table that more than 900 families affected by the tornado have already received construction materials.
He said that the total collapses will be recovered through the state plan and only a minimum recovery of the home will remain due to its own efforts.
Speeding up the process
We must organize ourselves better so that the flow in the Procedures Offices will be expedited in function of the recovery, said in the Round Table the Minister of Finance and Prices, Meysi Bolaños, when referring to the work of attention to the affected by the tornado.
She explained that this is the most complex and most important point for the solution of the problems and pointed out that these Offices were enabled to bring the procedures closer to the population and that they could access the benefits according to the payment capabilities.
Bolaños recalled that the price of construction materials was reduced to fifty percent, as well as to seventy that of water tanks, measures of great benefit to families affected.
The Minister of Finance and Prices pointed out that in the Processing Offices, subsidies are given to those who do not have solvency and credits to those who need help to buy materials.
Strength and young hands in the recovery
The president of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power in Havana, Reynaldo García, explained that for donations to the victims of the tornado, reflecting the solidarity of our people, 28 points were set at the level of the district.
When intervening in the Round Table transmitted from the Palace of the Revolution, he said that it has been an unprecedented process because of the massiveness with which it has behaved, without stopping doing it in an organized and equitable way.
The president of the University Student Federation, Raúl Alejandro Palmero, said that more than 11,000 students have participated in the recovery work in municipalities affected by the tornado.
Those of us who marched on January 28 in homage to Martí, woke up without sleeping in the work of recovery, expressed and confirmed the commitment of youth with the continuity of the revolutionary work.
An extraordinary exercise
