Caracas_ The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the extraordinary beginning of the Concert for Peace, Nothing for the War, this Friday at the international bridge Tienditas, in the Táchira state, in defense of national independence and in rejection to the constant interventionist pretensions of the Government of the United States, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

'Extraordinary beginning of the Concert “Nothing for the War', singing that unites the national and international artists and artists for the peace of our beloved Venezuela. We are a loving, supportive and happy people. #TrumpHandsOffVenezuela ', wrote the Head of State on the social network Twitter.

In the border area with Colombia, Venezuelan and international artists gathered on Friday in defense of national sovereignty.

During their performances they made appeals for peace and patriotic character. "We have been a blessed country, always besieged by foreign powers that want to appropriate from what is ours”, singer Omar Acedo said, after completing his performance on Saturday.

In spite of the warlike threats of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, against Venezuela, the singer spoke of the importance of the conscience of the population to defend the country, and of peace as a way of solving the problems.

The concert continued with performances like that of the Argentine rock band Bersuit Vergarabat. Before the show, the band gave a speech in support of Venezuelans before the siege of the US government.

In the evening hours, the national talent took the stand. The Venezuelan singer Lilia Vera and other colleagues sang the lyrics of the song Para La Guerra Nada.
