Havana, Cuba: The Transfermóvil computer application, developed by the Cuban Telecommunications Company (Etecsa), plans to start the mobile wallet service.
This is a complex project from the technological and organizational point of view, conceived in two stages, which has the objective of accelerating the process of developing electronic commerce in the country.
According to the director of Electronic Commerce of Etecsa, Julio Antonio García Trápaga, this is an important point in the development of commerce for many reasons, highlighting that facilities will be given to those who do not yet have bank cards to carry out operations.
Likewise, with the new version, due to be released soon, the payment of water service will be added nationwide, and it is also planned, before the end of the year, to launch the version of the application for mobile phones with the iOS operating system.
Transfermóvil has 3.1 million active clients, a platform through which 60 million monthly operations are carried out and 22 operations are carried out per second.
