Caracas: The President Nicolás Maduro assured that despite the United States blockade, the nation today has all the necessary treatments and the resources to face the Covid-19 pandemic, Prensa Latina publishes.

“Fortunately, we never lack help and friends?, the president assured yesterday during a day’s work with the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 in Caracas.

He pointed out that this South American nation has many friendly countries that allow the acquisition, often in secret, of medicines to combat the virus.

Among them he mentioned China, Russia, Cuba, Turkey, India, South Africa, Vietnam, as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

He indicated to the Presidential Commission that the government will guarantee the stock of medicines for the treatment of the disease such as antivirals, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics.

Given the exponential increase in the contagion curve in some regions of the country, among which the Capital District is first, the executive took urgent measures to contain the pandemic.
