Cuba: Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz welcomed more than 400 collaborators, members of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade, who for three months fought COVID-19 in Mexico, one of the most affected countries in the region due to the pandemic, Radio Rebelde.

On behalf of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz; the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, from the Cuban Government and the people, the Prime Minister conveyed to all the appreciation and gratitude for the work carried out in the Mexican territory.

Manuel Marrero Cruz highlighted the results achieved by this brigade, diverse in the medical specialties it groups together and representative of all the provinces of the country and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud.

For three months they worked in 68 services in 9 hospitals, where 54,000 patients were treated, including more than 43,000 infected. With their work they managed to save more than two thousand lives.

Deputy Prime Minister Roberto Morales Ojeda, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Public Health Minister José Ángel Portal Miranda and other government authorities participated in an enriching exchange with collaborators.
