Wholesale Market for Self-employed Workers Opens in Mayabeque

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Wholesale Company of Food Products in Mayabeque began selling products required for the self-employment activity, especially for food processors-marketers in cafes, restaurants and sweet shops-bakeries.

The director of this provincial entity, José Antonio Castellanos Fernández, stated that as part of the strategy oriented by the country’s leadership and based on the availability of resources, they sell rice, refined and raw sugar, salt and flour.

The official added that they intend to incorporate other lines, including those that are generated and produced in the territory itself.

The first wholesale market in the province began in Güines, in the Basic Wholesale Unit, and the purpose is to expand this network to San José de Las Lajas, where a large number of these workers are also concentrated, the manager concluded.
