Cuba: The Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Francisco Durán, reiterated the urgency of properly conducting active investigations in the Cuban capital to detect positive cases for Covid-19, Radio Rebelde reports.
Speaking in the daily meeting of the Provincial Defense Council, Durán affirmed that the poor quality of these investigations causes late arrival of admissions and treatments, which has consequences on the evolution of patients.
The specialist pointed out that the cases of contacts and suspects who remain undetected maintain the transmission of the virus.
On this issue, the president of the Provincial Defense Council of Havana, Luis Antonio Torres, called on health professionals to work to ensure that these events do not occur.
