Mayabeque, Cuba: The National Baseball Commissioner and other authorities of that sport in the country appeared this Tuesday at the Round Table Program of the Cuban television to provide details on the maximum sporting event in the Island, to begin on September 12.
The National Commissioner of Baseball, Ernesto Reinoso Piñera, said: ?because of what baseball represents for our people and with the adoption of sanitary measures in accordance with the demands of the Ministry of Public Health, the opening of the 60th National Ball Series was approved by the maximum leadership of the country.
Reinoso Piñera added that 8 teams are going to qualify and it will be a very competitive series, very close tight.
The member of the National Commission, Carlos Martín Álvarez, argued that given the circumstances, the schedule for the National Ball Series has had variations and made the latest proposal public.
The Head of the National Baseball Medical Commission, Doctor Montesino Flores, said that there is a program of measures that became a working instrument in the training stage.
The fundamental objective is to safeguard the lives of athletes and other personnel, as well as to avoid a local spread event within the baseball system.
