South African union donates supplies to Cuba to combat COVID-19.

South Africa: The South African Union of Mining Workers donated several supplies to contribute to Cuba’s efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Radio Rebelde reports.

During the delivery of the donation at the embassy of the Caribbean nation in Pretoria, Lefika Chetty, organizer of the Association of Solidarity with Cuba in South Africa, described the gesture of that union as an example of the close ties between the two peoples.

For his part, the head of the Union’s International Relations, Patrick Mathebane, reiterated his commitment to the Cuban people, while acknowledging the important efforts that Cuba is carrying out to contain the coronavirus.
