Mayabeque, Cuba: Even though isolation and physical distancing to prevent Covid-19 prevent different cultural and recreational events from taking place, the Movement of Amateur Artists grows in Jaruco.
According to the director of the House of Culture Alejo Carpentier, of Barcelona, Caridad Domínguez, the territory currently groups 17 performers in music; two make creations in visual arts; three signed up as lovers to the literature, and the same number joined the exciting art of the theaters.
“This is how this tradition of the amateur talent of Jaruco is reborn after several years, a territory that for more than five decades was prestigious for giving art from the creations of the inhabitants themselves?, she said.
Today the Alejo Carpentier House of Culture, has Art Instructors in the artistic manifestations of theater, dance, visual arts, music, literature; and recently an awakening of the audiovisual universe.
On the other hand, a large group of creators and artisans stands out, who also give life to the urban environment of the territory.
