Mayabeque, Cuba: The Blanca Becerra Amateur Theater festival will be held from September 28 in Bejucal, its usual venue.
This edition will be carried out online due to the situation in the country as a result of the pandemic caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus.
The works will be sent in digital format to be evaluated by a competent jury. The results will be announced on October 10.
The Blanca Becerra amateur theater group is one of the oldest of its kind in Cuba. Her artistic collective was founded by the cultural promoter Juan J. Barona, and more than 200 artists have passed through her, among them the sopranos María Eugenia Barrios and María Ester Pérez, as well as Carlos Díaz, director of the theater group El Público.
