In favor of the inclusion of deaf children in society.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Center for the Diagnosis and Orientation of San José de las Lajas stands out for its work, in the context of the World Day of the Deaf Person.

In the municipality there are 12 children with this condition, of them only one in a special school.

According to the National Sign Language Methodologist, Nordis López Pérez, the inclusion of these infants in regular education is promoted.

In the country the number of deaf children in special schools is approximately 400 and more than 800 in regular schools.

This seminar tries to make visible the problems related to deaf culture, laws and awareness.

There are more than 45 million people in the world over 3 years of age who suffer from some type of hearing loss.

The World Health Organization (WHO) advises that exposure to noise must not exceed the 65 decibels, although in Europe the limit is above 87 decibels.
