Pioneers of Jaruco Will Receive the Red Scarf

Mayabeque, Cuba: More than 270 third grade children from the schools in Jaruco will receive the red scarf today, an attribute that will identify them as José Martí pioneers of the second level, on the 87th anniversary of the murder of the first pioneer martyr of Cuba, Paquito González Cueto.

The First Secretary of the Young Communists League (UJC) in the municipality, Marialis Romero Ávila, reported that complying with the hygienic-sanitary measures to prevent the proliferation of Covid-19, the delivery of the attribute will be carried out on a staggered schedule according to the agenda set by schools.

As a measure to prevent the disease, students will receive the red scarf from the members of the Board of Directors of each educational institution, with the presence of the president of the School Council and the delegate of the Detachment.
