Cuba confirms 62 new positive cases for Covid-19.

Havana: The authorities of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported this Saturday 62 new patients diagnosed with Covid-19, after the analysis of 7,436 samples in the country’s molecular biology laboratories, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

At midnight this Friday, 5754 people were admitted, 4194 under surveillance and 1022 were suspected of being infected with the new coronavirus.

The country accumulates 636 163 samples analyzed and 5780 people diagnosed in our country since the beginning of the pandemic in our country.

Of the confirmed persons, 61 are Cubans and one is a foreigner, of them 60 are contacts of previous cases and two have a source of infection abroad.

Regarding sex, 18 are men and 48 are women. At the time of diagnosis, 44 were asymptomatic.

Looking at the age groups, eleven people are under 20 years old, there are 33 people between 20 and 39 years old, 20 people between 40 and 59 years old and 8 people between 60 and over.

According to the distribution by provinces, 37 cases belong to Sancti Spíritus, 16 are from Havana (2 imported), 7 from Ciego de Ávila and two cases are from Mayabeque.

Of the 5 thousand 780 patients diagnosed with the disease, 538 (9.3%) remain confirmed, 533 99.1% with stable clinical evolution. 122 deaths are reported (none of the day), two evacuated and 5,118 recovered patients (88.5%) (40 discharges of the day) accumulate. One patient in critical condition and four patients in serious condition are reported.

Until October 2, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 34 million 350 thousand 765 (+ 320 thousand 769) and one million 23 thousand 876 deaths (+ 8 thousand 833) for a fatality of 2, 98%.

The region of the Americas reports 16 million 915 thousand 385 confirmed cases (+ 121 thousand 122), 49.24% of the total cases reported in the world, with 566 thousand 374 deaths (+ 5 thousand 986) for a fatality of 3 , 34 (+ 0.01).
