Venezuela bets on the Anti-Blockade Law against US actions.

Caracas: Faced with the worsening of the aggressions of the United States (USA), the Venezuelan government is today betting on the approval of a new Anti-Blockade Law which will generate protective mechanisms against these actions, Prensa Latina publishes.

After being presented by President Nicolás Maduro for approval by the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), the initiative grabbed the headlines of the main Venezuelan press this week.

If approved, that legal instrument would become a legal response to confront the coercive and unilateral measures imposed by Washington to suffocate the country.

According to the president, the law will promote actions to strengthen public management, improve the nation’s income and create adequate incentives under flexible controls to stimulate internal economic activity and external productive alliances.

It will also allow the Venezuelan State to protect assets against the threats of confiscation, theft and looting, of which this nation has been a victim in the last two years by the national right, the White House and its allies.

Likewise, it will help the establishment of productive alliances with companies inside and outside the country for the development of strategic sectors, which will be an incentive for investments by making the State’s shareholding more flexible in joint ventures.

All this will facilitate labor and tax incentives, will also strengthen the use of crypto currencies in commercial operations to avoid financial persecution, Maduro stressed when presenting the proposal.

The draft Anti-Blockade Law being studied by the ANC consists of 36 articles, two transitory provisions and a final provision. In one of its articles, it proposes empowering the Executive to reorganize decentralized entities for business purposes, improving their operation or state investment.

The legal initiative seeks to protect and ensure the effectiveness of protection decisions against the sanctions promoted by the United States and its allies, as well as other threats to public services or to the satisfaction of the population’s needs.

Likewise, it foresees the generation of additional resources and income from its application to mitigate the effects of obstacles, compensate for the damages that the sanctions generate due to dispossession or immobilization of assets, which will benefit the population.

For this, it contemplates compensation of salaries and financing the protection system, and thus return to provide quality public services and restore the national productive capacity, especially of strategic industries, substitute imports and stimulate the 16 productive engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.

According to legal experts, if this new law is approved, it will allow the beleaguered country to move forward and meet the needs of the population through initiatives and economic incentives.
