New York Police order to prepare for pre and post-election protests in the United States.

United States: The commissioner of the New York Police Department, Dermot Shea, asked all uniformed officers to prepare to face the protests before and after the US presidential elections on November 3, Radio Rebelde reports.

Shea said that plans to respond to the anticipated disturbances include the deployment of deputy inspectors and captains to command forces in the field beginning Oct.25.

In addition, he said that the election result may not be decided for several weeks after November 3, as happened previously in 2000, so he asked the agents to be prepared.

Anticipated protests can grow in scale, intensity and frequency, and can extend into January 2021, Dermot Shea said.
