World Rural Women's Day.

María Julia García is a peasant woman who loves animals and enjoys the countryside environment.

Each day begins in the early hours of the morning. María collaborates with her husband in raising the animals and taking care of the crops, since they do these tasks together and thus they achieve a good team.

“Working in the fields is hard and sacrificing, but it gives rewards and when you do what you like you are happy?, María Julia, who takes care of her appearance and is also passionate about art said.

Today is a special date, the Day of Rural Women is celebrated and that does not escape the attention of the interviewee.

“I am proud to give my contribution from home to the country’s food, everything comes from the field, milk, eggs and agricultural products, so every day I make an effort in this task so important for the well-being of all?, Maria Julia Garcia said.

This woman was born in the rural area, grew up and has formed a beautiful family. At each sunrise, like many other Cuban women, she can enjoy the pleasure of feeling useful.

Every October 15, World Rural Women’s Day is celebrated, precisely on the eve of World Food Day.

The date was proposed by the International Federation of Agricultural Producers (FIPA), the World Summit of Women Foundation (FCMM) and the World Union of Rural Women (UNMR) as a follow-up to the results of the historic Fourth World Conference of the United Nations on Women, held in Beijing in 1995.
