Havana: The Ministry of Public Health of Cuba reported this Saturday a deceased and 52 samples positive for Covid19 in the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 6,170 (0.84%) since the beginning of the disease in the country , Radio Havana Cuba publishes.
At midnight yesterday, October 16, 2,247 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 672 suspects, 1,285 under surveillance and 290 confirmed.
For COVID-19 7,085 samples were studied, resulting in 52 positive samples. The country accumulates 735,511 samples carried out and 6,170 positive (0.84%).
The 52 diagnosed cases are Cuban and autochthonous. 50 were contacts of confirmed cases and two without a specified source of infection, 14 were women and 38 men. 71.1% (37) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
The positive cases belong to the province of Pinar del Río 1, Havana 22 cases and Sancti Spíritus 29.
Of the 6,170 patients diagnosed with the disease, 290 (4.7%) remain confirmed, 282 (97.2%) with stable clinical evolution. 125 deaths are reported (one of the day), two evacuated and 5 thousand 753 recovered patients accumulate (93.2%). Yesterday 51 patients received the medical discharge. Three patients in critical condition and five patients in serious condition are reported.
Until October 16, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the number of confirmed cases rises to 38 million 984 thousand 808 (+ 403 thousand 547) and 1 million 099 thousand 184 deaths (+ 6.0 044) for a fatality of 2, 82 (-0.01).
In the region of the Americas, 18 million 506 thousand 723 confirmed cases are reported (+ 135 thousand 756), 47.47% of the total cases reported in the world, with 603 thousand 361 deaths (+ 2 thousand 818) for a fatality of 3.26.
