National Center for Biopreparations Receives National Vanguard Condition and Proeza Laboral Flag.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The National Bio-preparations Center (BIOCEN), located in Bejucal, received the Labor Prowess Flag awarded by the Cuban Workers’ Center (CTC) when there are just a few days left to celebrate the Pharmaceutical Worker’s Day in the country.

By agreement of the National CTC and at the request of the National Union of Health Workers, they handed over to the center the banner from the Secretary General of the organization in the province, Fernando Fuentes Flores.

 In this regard, the President of the Superior Organization of Business Management (OSDE) BioCubaFarma, Doctor Eduardo Martínez Díaz, expressed the growth of the center in recent times, highlighted its integrality the previous year within the group and highlighted that in this calendar they have been superiors, a true work feat.

The scientific institution was also honored with the National Vanguard Condition. The Flag was delivered by the Secretary General of the Union of Health Workers, Doctor Santiago Padilla González. The Director General of BIOCEN, Doctor of Science Tamara Lobaina, thanked and congratulated her workers.

The appointment was also conducive to receiving the Youth for Life distinction for the response to the country’s call during the confrontation with Covid-19. The recognition was given by the Member of the National Bureau of the Young Communists League, Rosa María Ramírez Montero, on behalf of the highest authorities of the organization.

The Juan Tomás Roy Distinction granted by the Council of State and Ministers was awarded to five women and five men for their 20 and 25 years of uninterrupted work dedicated to scientific work. The first Party Secretary in Mayabeque, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, delivered it on behalf of the Health Workers Union.

In addition, ten BIOCEN workers received the Seal of Merit to Humanism, Sensitivity and Solidarity, moral recognition for their outstanding work in confronting the COVID19 pandemic with the production of 10 of the main Cuban Biotechnology products used in treatments for the new coronavirus.
