Mayabeque, Cuba: Workers at the Liliana Dimitrova Horticultural Research Institute, located in Quivicán, celebrated the 49 years since the center was founded.
In a simple activity and complying with the sanitary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, they recognized researchers and technicians with outstanding work experience.
Such is the case of the Doctor of Science, Raúl Díaz Fernández and the research technician, Odelín Fajardo Gutiérrez, worthy of the award for their lifelong work in these almost five decades.
Both professionals with their jobs face the great challenge of contributing from science to the agricultural progress of the country.
At the ceremony, the center was also given the certification of its quality management system in its projects related to the production of vegetables, fibers and flowers.
