Mayabeque, Cuba: The municipal act to celebrate the Day of the Latin American Medicine, took place this December 2 in Güines.
At the meeting, the Piti Fajardo medal was presented to 10 health specialists with more than 25 years of outstanding and uninterrupted work in the sector.
The most outstanding centers were also recognized during the stage and the Seal of Merit, humanism, sensitivity and solidarity was awarded to the personnel who were directly linked to the prevention and control of COVID-19.
The Director of Health in Güines, Dr. Enmaida Fernández Marcos, mentioned two of the achievements of the sector in 2020, “ensuring that the Covid-19 pandemic did not spread through the municipality and the satisfactory results in the Maternal and Child Program?.
