President of the Cuban Parliament Esteban Lazo presided over assessment in Mayabeque.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, participated in the exchange about the Bill on the organization and functioning of the Government and the Administration Council, taking into account suggestions and criteria from the authorities that they assume this responsibility and serve in the Organs of Popular Power in Mayabeque and other provinces of the country.

Through the video conference system, Lazo Hernández specified the need to consolidate the principles of the Cuban revolution, without losing the concept of unity taught by Fidel Castro to strengthen integrated community work, explained that the regulations analyzed define the organization of the Popular Power , as established by the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, for which it is important to monitor at a social level, taking into account economic activities such as the harvest and the cold season, tasks that contribute to exports, import substitution and to guarantee the feeding of the town.

The Governor of Mayabeque, Tamara Valido Benítez, spoke about the work that corresponds to the organs of the People’s Power, its impact on society and the main aspects that are integrated in the Social Economic Strategy.

Valido Benítez, explained: “a novel operation of the Provincial Council as an important collegiate and deliberative body and the governor as a single-person executive administrative body.”

The document details aspects related to the structure and powers of the mayor, “based on what this collegiate body that is chaired by the Mayor represents, but which in the case of municipalities is where the main decisions have to be made.”

To the opinion that these aspects converge in one of the fundamental objectives, the autonomy of the municipalities, the governor added: “The Mayor on behalf of that college, which is the Council of Administration, is responsible for all policies, agreements, all the indications, the answer to the concerns of the population generating local development?.
