Mayabeque, Cuba: Teaching professionals at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Mayabeque were recognized in the context of the Educator’s Day, dedicated to the 59th anniversary of the declaration of the Island as a territory free of illiteracy and the 62nd anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban revolution.
In a provincial act for the anniversary, the Union of Public Health Workers and the Ministry of the sector awarded the institution the Merit Seal of Humanism, Sensitivity and Solidarity. The dean, Doctor Yanelis Reyes Fernández, received the distinction.
The Provincial Director of Health of Mayabeque, Doctor Luis Armando Wong Corrales, presided over the gala based at the Casa de la Décima in the province.
The Manuel Fajardo Distinction was also awarded to education professionals in that faculty for their consecrated work in the training of future health workers.
Institutions and teaching departments of the educational institution for their performance in the preparation of the new generations of specialists in Medical Sciences were also recognized.
The Doctor of Science, Idalberto Aguilar Hernández, received the teaching category of Full Investigator from the hands of the dean, Doctor Yanelis Reyes Fernández.
