The first vaccine registered in the world against Covid-19 was limited, for the moment, to an age range of between 18 and 60 years.

In this capital, the immunization of doctors, teachers and social workers in that age range began last November. For the moment, children and pregnant women are left out of this process, for which additional scientific studies are carried out.

In this city, the three mentioned risk categories were joined by other sectors such as employees of transport, commerce, industry and the media.

But since last Thursday, workers from communal services, food, sports, public order bodies, including police, the attorney general’s office, judges and others will also be able to register on the official website of the mayor’s office.

Likewise, the opportunity will also be given to volunteers who work with older people, affected by diseases and other charitable work, as well as staff of non-commercial and religious companies.

One of the first figures handled by the Moscow authorities was the enlistment of more than five thousand people to inject Sputnik V, which is applied in two phases, with an interval of 21 days between each one. In total, 42 days are needed.

Moscow plans to open about 170 vaccination centers by January, each with at least five locations for injections.

Sputnik V must be stored at a temperature below minus 21 degrees and each bulb has five doses. Its application must be carried out within a period of two hours, after its defrosting; therefore it is necessary to gather five people for the procedure.

Russia also started industrial production of the EpicVacCorona vaccine, made by the ‘Vektor’ State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology on the basis of synthetic materials, which can be stored at temperatures between two and eight degrees Celsius.
