Mayabeque, Cuba: The main results of science at the Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez Agrarian University of Havana during the year 2020 were released today at the House of Higher Studies located in San José de Las Lajas.
In a calendar marked by the attacks of Covid-19, it did not stop the work of teachers and researchers in the interests of scientific development and therefore the promotion of Cuban society and economy.
At the meeting, they read the congratulatory message sent by the Minister of Higher Education, José Ramón Saborí Loydi, regarding the Cuban Science Day.
They also revealed the creditors of the Carlos Juan Finlay Order granted to Doctors of Sciences Héctor Rodríguez Morell and María Elena Ruiz Pérez.
Professors Ania García Pereira, Héctor Rodríguez Morell, Elio Lázaro Amador Lorenzo and Reinaldo Fernández Palenzuela, experts of the Mayabeque Technical Advisory Council, were recognized for their significant work in the development of science.
The eleven awards of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of the province were officially awarded to those who praise Fidel’s maxim with their daily work when he expressed: We have to develop intelligence productions, that is our place in the world, there will be no other.
The CITMA of Mayabeque in turn granted special recognition to the Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez Agrarian University and the Center for Agricultural Mechanization for their intense work in promoting and developing scientific knowledge.
Another special moment was the delivery of the collective awards for the results of science, technology and innovation, as well as the individual ones for the merits in scientific research.
