Mayabeque, Cuba: The president of the Organizing Committee of the Golden Age Basketball Cup, Licentiate Orlando Ortega confirmed the invitation to the teams from Artemisa, Havana, Isla de la Juventud, Matanzas and Pinar del Río for the celebration of the pioneer contest in the province of Mayabeque.
The competitive calendar, at the end of April 2021, will celebrate its tenth anniversary, if the epidemiological situation allows it.
According to the President of the Organizing Committee, the fight will benefit new players of mini-basketball for children.
The contest will serve to attract talents that will be the relief of the national pre-selection and will establish an endorsement to participate in the Cuba-Puerto Rico agreement.
The creation of the Golden Age Basketball Cup, in Santa Cruz del Norte, constitutes recognition of its promoter Orlando Ortega, the Sports Directorate and the political and governmental authorities of that municipality, the only one in the country that organizes this type of event meetings.
