Mayabeque, Cuba: The Deputy Prime Minister, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, exchanged with workers and managers of the Héctor Molina plant in the municipality of San Nicolás, where he insisted on the importance of guaranteeing sugarcane to the industry to achieve efficient milling.
During the tour of the sugarcane areas, the leader spoke with the workers about the difficulties and the alternatives to fulfill the planned cutting task.
During the visit to the Eastern Genetic Company in the municipality of Madruga, the Deputy Prime Minister toured the Base Business Units of Picadura and Balserán in order to learn about their operation.
He also emphasized the importance of water and food to achieve the proper weight of the animals. Therefore, as indications, Tapia Fonseca called for an increase in the planting of protein plants and the creation of nurseries near the dairy farms to reduce costs.
The production units must recover gradually to achieve superior results due to the importance of livestock for the economic development of the country.
