Tacón theater, a group specialized in oral narration.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Tacón theater group, a collective specialized in Mayabeque in oral storytelling, received a Special Mention at the Primavera de Cuentos International Festival.

The newspaper Mayabeque publishes, on its Facebook profile, that in this edition the event was dedicated to honoring the figure of its creator Mayra Navarro, a distinguished teacher of storytellers, who physically disappeared last year

The staging, titled There is no possible explanation, was performed by Noel Hernández and its director Julio Coto Oramas, as well as the editing and musicalization by Roberto Rojas.

Primavera de Cuentos is usually based at the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater, but this year it was online, due to the pandemic. The theme of the event was to tell life, through anecdotes and experiences of reality, which allowed us to evoke the wonderful reunion with who was a little girl from the Children’s Home without Family Support in the municipality. Despite the years, she will continue to be like a goddaughter of the group, according to the collective.
