Havana, Cuba: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Thursday three deaths and 816 samples positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for an accumulated of 69 thousand 802 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at the close of yesterday 20 thousand 573 patients were admitted, of them 3 thousand 818 suspects, 13 thousand 421 in epidemiological surveillance and 3 thousand 334 confirmed.
Durán explained that the country carried out 19 thousand 812 samples the day before for a cumulative of 2 million 863 thousand 281 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of 816 patients, 401 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 782 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 8 have a source of infection abroad and in 26 people the source of infection is unknown. Autochthonous 708 patients were reported.
Of the total confirmed, 385 are male and 431 female. Regarding age groups, 121 patients were diagnosed under 19 years of age, and 551 of pediatric age remain active hospitalized. In the ages of 19 to 39 years, 238 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 324 cases and 133 people older than 60 years.

He specified that, of the 69 thousand 802 patients diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of it, 3,334 confirmed hospitalizations remain, of them 3,270 with stable clinical evolution. 408 deaths are reported (3 in the last day) for a fatality of 0.58. The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 66 thousand 004 recovered patients accumulate (827 discharges of the day). 23 patients in critical condition and 41 patients in serious condition are reported.
