Mayabeque, Cuba: This April 19 we commemorate three important events, the Victory of Playa Girón, the closing of the Eighth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the 51st anniversary of the founding of Radio Mayabeque, once Radio Güines.
Regarding these celebrations, the Information Department carries out actions in order to keep the audience informed from the provincial, national and international levels, as communicated Rebeca Díaz Acosta, the head of the radio station.
She also added that journalists address a variety of jobs in news programs on prioritized topics in current times, such as the confrontation with COVID-19, the reorganization process carried out by the country and the fight on social networks are part of the daily life of the press staff of the provincial station.
Radio Mayabeque turns 51 years old this April 19 and the challenges of the Information Department multiply to continue bringing quality programming to the audience that responds to the interests of the people, Díaz Acosta said.
