Havana:  The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Tuesday seven deaths and 1,183 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for an accumulated of 103 thousand 524 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.

During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at the close of yesterday 22 thousand 807 patients were admitted, of which 4 thousand 392 suspects, 13 thousand 013 in epidemiological surveillance and 5 thousand 402 confirmed.

Durán explained that the country carried out 22,795 samples the day before for an accumulated of 3 million 564 thousand 773 samples analyzed.

The epidemiologist announced that, of the 1,83 patients, 452 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 1,032 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 31 have a source of infection abroad and in 20 people the source of contagion is unknown and oOne thousand 52 autochthonous.

Of the total confirmed, 559 are male and 524 female. Regarding the age groups, 132 patients were diagnosed under 19 years of age and 121 were diagnosed in pediatric ages. 789 remained active hospitalized. In the ages of 19 to 39 years, 350 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 403 cases and 198 people over 60 years of age.

He specified that, of the 103 thousand 524 patients diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of it, 5 thousand 402 remain admitted, of which 5 thousand 322 with stable clinical evolution. 604 deaths are reported (seven in the last day). The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 97 thousand 462 recovered patients accumulate (1154 discharges of the day). 41 patients in critical condition and 39 patients in serious condition are reported.
