Mayabeque, Cuba: With six new positive cases of coronavirus in its main city, Jaruco closed the day of May 4.
The patients, two female and four male between the ages of five and 63, are contacts of confirmed cases.
Jaruco thus raises the contagion curve with 14 Covid-19 patients in just four days of the month of May, which is presented as the most complex since the start of the pandemic.
The municipality thus accumulates 137 positive cases, of them 24 minors and more than 70 in the Jaruco Popular Council, the epicenter of the disease.
Health authorities intensify epidemiological control and surveillance in neighborhoods and communities, attending to the spread of the infection mainly within homes.
The call is to avoid unnecessary exits and to strengthen hygienic measures in work centers, public spaces and especially inside the home.
