Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque quantifies today a total of 39 positive cases of Covid-19 and is among the provinces with the highest incidence of the disease, according to the report issued by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
The municipalities of Santa Cruz del Norte, Melena del Sur and Batabanó has three each, while San Nicolás and Bejucal have 2 per territory.
For their part, Güines 10, San José de las Lajas 6, Madruga 5, Quivicán 4 and Jaruco 1.
As of yesterday, 36 are contacts of confirmed cases and three do not refer a source of infection.
- The 73-year-old citizen, who lives in Bejucal, is reported to be in stable criticism. She has a Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Thrombopathy.
She remains in Intensive Care, afebrile, sedated, on mechanical ventilation. She is hemodynamically stable, with adequate diuresis. Blood gas with acceptable values. Chest X-ray, without changes, shows extensive inflammatory lesions in both lung fields.
- The 53-year-old citizen from the municipality of Batabanó is in the same condition. Pathological Antecedents of Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Bronchial Asthma. She is in intensive care, afebrile, sedated, on mechanical ventilation with moderate respiratory distress. Hemodynamically stable, poor diuresis, Chest X-ray without change, shows extensive inflammatory lesions in both lung fields.
- The 54-year-old patient from Santa Cruz del Norte, with Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus. She is in Intensive Care, afebrile, on mechanical ventilation with moderate respiratory distress. Hemodynamically stable, adequate diuresis. Blood gas with acceptable values. The Chest X-ray shows radiological worsening, with inflammatory lesions in both lung fields.
- The 79-year-old citizen, from Bejucal, has pathological antecedent of Arterial Hypertension. She is in Intensive Care, afebrile, sedated, on mechanical ventilation with moderate respiratory distress. Hemodynamically stable, adequate diuresis. Blood gas with acceptable values. Chest X-ray shows inflammatory lesions in both lung fields.
Among those in serious con dition, there is a 84-year-old citizen of San José de las Lajas, with Personal Pathological Antecedent of Arterial Hypertension and Ischemic Heart Disease. She remains in Intensive Care, afebrile, spontaneously ventilating with supplemental oxygen. Hemodynamically stable with preserved diuresis. Blood gas with metabolic acidosis. The Chest X-ray shows no pleuropulmonary lesions. Evolutionary PCR: negative.
Also the 100-year-old patient from Melena del Sur. Personal Pathological Background: Arterial Hypertension. She is in intensive care, afebrile, on spontaneous ventilation. Hemodynamically stable, with preserved diuresis. Normal blood gases. The chest X-ray shows inflammatory infiltrate in both lung bases.
Today we mourn the death of two citizens of the province.
The 68-year-old citizen from Güines, with Personal Pathological Antecedents of: Arterial Hypertension, Bladder Adenocarcinoma. Hospital stay of 4 days. She presented clinical, gasometric and radiological worsening, with Severe Respiratory Distress and renal dysfunction. Modifications were made in mechanical ventilation and the doses of amines were increased. She made cardiac arrest in asystole, cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were performed, which were not effective.
And the 44-year-old citizen from Nueva Paz with no Personal Pathological Antecedent. Hospital stay: 7 days. She presented ventricular arrhythmias and hemodynamic instability. Later she made cardiac arrest in ventricular fibrillation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were performed, which are not effective.
