A resounding victory was achieved today by the largest of the Antilles in the United Nations General Assembly, which by 184 votes in favor, 2 against and 3 abstentions, approved the resolution “Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”.
The world rejects the blockade again. On the blackboards of the General Assembly Hall, the overwhelming majority of the international community in favor of Cuba and against the US government’s blockade against our people was evidenced, Cubadebate publishes.
Since 1992, the United Nations General Assembly has approved the Cuban resolution with a growing majority and thus demanded the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on the island for more than 60 years.
The United States and Israel repeated this year as the countries in opposing the resolution.
Colombia, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates abstained.
