Mayabeque, Cuba: Chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, and by the Deputy Head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Montesinos Pérez, the Temporary Working Group to confront COVID-19 evaluated the situation epidemiological and the measures adopted against the pandemic in the municipality of Güines.
In the meeting, the deficiencies in the actions taken were analyzed, due to the increase in the spread of the disease, expressed in high numbers of infections and in a context described as worrying by the Vice Prime Minister.
Cabrisas, who supports and confirms the management of the health complexities in Mayabeque, insisted on the urgent need to review the disease control plans in detail, as well as the organization of the measures and the rigor in their application to achieve positive results. .
Cabrisas pointed out that we must also achieve the disciplined incorporation of the population to guarantee the action of the entire community in the fight against the virus, especially now that the population intervention is carried out with the vaccine candidate Soberana 02, which requires greater rigor in the individual and collective behavior.
For her part, the member of the Central Committee of the Party and First Secretary of the political organization in Mayabeque, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, emphasized the integration of the working groups. She stressed that we have to work on the organization and on the actions, so that they are concrete and visible.
While the Provincial Director of Health, Doctor Luis Armando Wong Corrales, pointed out as the main problems in the municipality the deficiency in the immediacy of the actions and that it is necessary to work on increasing the quarantined areas.
Managers agree that this is not just a task for the health system, but for all organizations and sectors.
Raising awareness, mobilizing and demanding are some of the actions to be carried outdeveloped in Güines to combat COVID-19, with discipline and social responsibility.
These are times when the municipality must be proactive and print more dynamism in confronting the epidemic, a task for everyone for health and life.
